Backupset Shelf

Overview

The Backupset Shelf is a counterpart to MyClient's Backupset Editor. The Backupset Editor in MyClient allows you to create and modify Backupsets for all your Ahsay customers. The Backupset Shelf allows you to copy a Backupset's profile settings from one customer to another.

This feature is recommended for use in the following scenarios:

• A backupset requires a large number of complex pre- or post- commands, and must be configured with minor changes across multiple customers. You can create the backupset for one customer, and then use the Shelf to copy the backupset profile settings for another customer
• You wish to migrate a backupset profile from one customer to another

The Shelf feature migrates backupset settings only. It does not migrate customer data between Ahsay accounts.

Opening the Shelf

You can open the Shelf from a Customer Detail page, by clicking the clipboard icon in the lower-left-hand corner of the "BackupSet Event Log" section;

Using the Shelf

The Shelf has two columns. On the left, the current customer's backupsets are displayed. On the right, the Shelf backupsets are displayed.

On the left-hand side, you can use the ">>" button to copy a backupset profile into the Shelf.

On the right-hand side, you can use the "<<" button to copy a backupset profile back from the Shelf onto the current customer.

You can also use the "..." and "X" buttons to rename or remove the Shelved backupset, respectively.
